Minecraft

Minecraft 2 is the introduction class to JavaScript coding.

The students use a coding program provided by Minecraft Education, MakeCode. The students follow step-by-step instructions from the teacher in coding small projects. The students are learning how to code JavaScript by starting off with block codes then to script codes. Students are required to know how to play Minecraft or complete Minecraft 1 in order to take this course.

Minecraft is a voxel-sandbox game—an open-world, fully customizable experience. Players can build, destroy, plan and create anything they see. This game, as a free-roam, has many different biomes and locations, similar to the real world. The students will be using the education format of Minecraft, Minecraft Education or Code Kingdoms. The Minecraft Classes are highly recommended to be taken in order for students to progressively learn how to code JavaScript in the future.

Code Kingdoms

Code Kingdoms is the advance class to JavaScript coding.

Code Kingdoms is a coding program provided by the Best Learning Center that allows students to use a code editor to modify Minecraft and Roblox. This is an independent study course. The students watch an instructional video with the assistance of a teacher. 

Students are required to complete Minecraft 2 in order to take this course.

Minecraft I

Minecraft 1 is the beginner’s class and is split into two different courses:
Introduction to Minecraft
This is a perfect beginner’s course for those who have never played Minecraft before! This course teaches students how to use a keyboard, a laptop, and a mouse. The students will also learn how to type! Through step-by-step instructions, the students are introduced to the rules and gameplay of Minecraft. 

Introduction to Redstone   
Redstone is a flexible tool that is used to build complex and active projects in Minecraft. The uses of redstone introduces students to components of electrical circuitry. Redstone teaches students how power "electricity" can be transmitted to devices which will then do something in response.
